Silom Square

In 2016, OBA was invited to join the design competition for the new mixed used project located in Silom area, Bangkok’s prime central business district. Retail area was part of the program to serve the rental office above it and to accommodate Silom area which is quite a very busy district both daytime and nighttime.


The project site is located at the corner of Soi Convent where busy pedestrian traffic happens in the morning and lunch time. The planning concept was to improve the city connectivity in every direction, horizontal and vertical, at BTS skywalk level and street level, through the podium of the building.. Stacked
volumes with different glazing types and colors are introduced not only to overcome the setback limitation but also to achieve the appealing architectural appearance.


The project has a total building area of approximately 120,000 m 2, comprises 47,000 m2 leasable area.
