Metro East Town (Design Study)

Metro East Town community mall is located in Ladkrabang area near the airport. The project is aimed to serve several thousands of residential population who work for airlines. The building design is meant to be an urban hub for the area. Four buildings are linked by a story of traveling through the clouds, then the shopping experience is leisurely transformed into the warmth of home coming feeling. 

The front building represents modern world of air traveling era with a cloud-like roof cover. After arriving to the ground, the shoppers see the hometown building. A house character is selected, reinterpreted and rearranged in the design of the building facade and softened with the home garden flowers.
